Notice About Books Betrayed: Alternate Ending
OK, it is gonna be hard for me to review this book. Don't get me wrong I liked it. It's just I don't know. Ok, let me try to explain. This came across as a Dark Read when I read the synopsis. And it was, kinda. Let me try again. It started off as a Dark Read and as for the Dark read part it was GREAT!! The places the beginning of this book took Brooklyn was down right as bad as bad could get. I'm I held my breath at times wondering how this poor woman endured all that she was put threw. The men

Ooohhh this sounds good! :DD I am so confused with all these mixed reviews ahhhhhh :'(

The authors switch back and forth between the two characters, Lance and Brooklyn. The reason it was hard to read was because one half was slow and unexciting (Lance) and the other half was gruesome and appalling (Brooklyn). Lance lives out in the middle of nowhere in a cabin in the woods. The first part of the

Oh, dear. Oh, dear. This review will be littered with spoilers. Read on at your peril.I really do love well written, soul searching dark erotica, but well written, soul searching dark erotica this surely aint! This had the potential to be such a great story. A wealthy and married lady (Brook) gets carjacked, abducted and held by a gang and brutally and repeatedly raped over the course of a few days. She manages to escape but shes in the middle of a mountain range amid heavy snowfall but, luckily,

This book was extremely original.... It seems like something that could possibly happen... And I would hope after someone having suffered so badly, they would find an HEA. I read some comments about the brutal rape scenes and them being too much... I think they were written spot on, and probably not near as bad as they truly are. Don't let those comments deter you from an original story. They are somewhat descriptive but most books describe much more when it's consensual....

I really should stop buying books because of the cover.Anyways, Brook is filthy rich (supposedly) and while driving her Ferrari she is kidnapped. Her abductors rape her from all angles and inside out. Gross. The part of Brook captivity is really gross, disgusting, and, I found it to be very real. I mean, Hawkinson didn't hold back in the description and the language. If you have issues with women being raped don't read this book. I found the beginning of the book (yeah, the captivity part) to be
